Our COVID-19 Response:
SUSTAINABLE NUTRITION
for Sweetwaters
Due to existing poverty and COVID-19 unemployment, families in Sweetwaters need food. Rather than temporary food parcels, we've been 3 by community leaders to help families sustainably supply food for themselves for the long-term.
That is why we are partnering with families over the next few months to help as many as possible start at-home no-dig permaculture gardens. These gardens will provide nutritious, immune-boosting food for months to come. Our whole staff team from youth mentors to Early Childhood Development have re-trained in permaculture gardening. In the first month, we helped 163 families start their own gardens. We are trying to reach 400 families by the end of the year. Consider joining us to be a part of sustainable change.
